How far in advance should we book event staff in Washington, DC?

We recommend two to four weeks for most events. Large association conferences, the spring conference season, and the busy November–December holiday period are best booked four to six weeks out. Short on time? Contact us — we frequently fill last-minute requests.

Do you have minimum hours or staff requirements?

Each staff member is booked for at least 5 hours per shift. There’s no minimum team size — we can send one bartender for a board dinner or more than 100 staff for a large conference.

Can staff wear our organization’s uniforms?

Yes. Send branded shirts, jackets or accessories to us or to the venue before the event. If you don’t have uniforms, we’ll match your dress code, from classic all-black to business or cocktail attire.

Are your staff employees or independent contractors?

All Julia Valler staff are W-2 employees of our agency, not freelancers or independent contractors. We handle payroll and taxes for every team member.

What happens if a staff member is unavailable?

We confirm every shift in advance and keep backup staff on call. If someone becomes unavailable, we send a vetted replacement — usually before you notice — and your on-site team lead manages any changes.

How much does corporate event staffing in Washington, DC cost?

Rates typically range from $37 to $55 per hour per staff member. Pricing depends on the role, venue location, shift length, event date (weekends and holidays may cost more), how far ahead you book, and special requirements such as language skills or additional training.
