Our Founders
-
Julia VallerOwner, CEO -
Nick VallerOwner, CFO
Julia Valler Event Staffing was founded by husband-and-wife team Julia and Nick Valler. After years working across New York's catering and event-planning scene, Julia set out to build a staffing agency defined by one standard: service that never feels stressed. As President and CEO, she shapes every detail of the client experience, from recruiting talent to the polish each event delivers.
Nick Valler, drawing on his own background in hospitality operations and business development, became her essential partner from day one. As Co-Founder, he built the operational backbone that let the company grow from a single New York team into an agency staffing thousands of events a year across ten U.S. cities — without losing the hands-on quality Julia envisioned at the start.

How We Select & Prepare Our Staff
Exceptional service starts with the people we hire and how we prepare them. Our selection process combines experience screening, role-specific testing, and interviews, followed by hands-on experience under the guidance of our team leaders.
Selective Recruitment
We review applicants’ experience and qualifications, inviting only 15% to interview. We look for professionals who bring the skills, attitude, and polished presentation our clients expect.
Role-Specific Testing
Candidates complete assessments tailored to their roles and must score at least 85 out of 100. We evaluate the practical knowledge they need to perform their responsibilities confidently.
Personal Interviews
We assess each candidate’s professionalism, personality, and relevant hospitality or promotional experience. Only 4% of all applicants are approved to join our team.
Supervised Event Experience
New team members work at least 10 events as part of a larger team before taking independent assignments. During this period, they must earn positive ratings of four or five stars from our team leaders and captains.
Ongoing Team Support
Every event team is assigned a leader or captain to guide staff and maintain service standards. We also manage staff training, payroll, and comprehensive insurance coverage, allowing clients to focus on their events.

The Polo Bar by Ralph Lauren
Permanent staffing
The Polo Bar by Ralph Lauren opened in 2014. The New York City restaurant hired front-of-house staffing through Julia Valler, including hosts, servers, and bartenders. The Polo Bar was filled with incredibly high-end clientele, including celebrities. The Polo Bar by Ralph Lauren entrusted over 30 staff members of Julia Valler to cycle through all of the necessary positions in an exclusive restaurant. Even with a one month “Right To Replace” opportunity given to The Polo Bar, every single one of our staff members was kept on throughout the hiring process.
Disney Cruises
Temporary staffing
In 2017, the Disney Cruise line tested a launch from a port in New York City. The port hired 50 staff members as Directional Staff and primary Check-In Personnel. The JV staffing team was responsible for being the first point of contact for the guests. With extensive training, the Check-In team would scan forms of passports, licenses, tickets, and any other sort of document needed for a seamless boarding process onto the Disney Cruise. All members were cross-trained in each department and contracted for three months every day a cruise was scheduled.

- I've been in the industry for 15 years and JV is the event staffing agency in the business. Such professional staff, and the booking process is super easy. I mean, their client list says it all. Stellar in every way.
- We hired Julia Valler for a High-Level Event in New York and were very pleased with their services. All team members were professional, proactive, focused on their assigned tasks, friendly, and showed initiative in clarifying any uncertainties to ensure they fully understood what was expected of them.
- I can’t say enough how OUTSTANDING all the Julia Valler Brand Ambassadors were!! They were such an asset to our event — so professional and hard working and LOVELY. So fantastic with the clients and consumers alike. I was proud to have them represent my event. I cannot wait to have them at future events I do.
- Very fast turnaround to get a Promo Hostess for an event we had in less than 7 days. Great communication and would highly recommend.
