Los Angeles Event Staffing FAQ
For most events, two to four weeks is ideal. Large conferences, award-season events, and the November–December holiday period are best booked four to six weeks out. Short on time? Call us — we regularly handle last-minute requests.
There’s a 5-hour minimum per staff member for each shift, but no minimum number of staff. We can send one bartender to a small client dinner or a team of 100+ to a major conference.
Absolutely. Send your branded shirts, jackets or accessories to us or straight to the venue before your event. If you don’t have uniforms, we’ll match your dress code, from all-black service attire to cocktail looks.
Our staff are W-2 employees of Julia Valler — never freelancers or independent contractors. Payroll and taxes are handled by us.
Every shift is confirmed in advance, and we keep backup staff available. If someone can’t make it, we send a vetted replacement, often before you’d notice, and your on-site team lead manages any adjustments.
Typical rates are $37–$55 per hour per staff member. The total depends on the role, venue location, shift length, event date (weekends and holidays may be higher), how far in advance you book, and any special needs like language skills or additional training.
