Questions About Event Staffing in San Francisco
Two to four weeks ahead works for most events. Large conferences, major tech events, and the November–December holiday season call for four to six weeks of lead time. Running short on time? Reach out — we often handle last-minute requests.
Each staff member is booked for a minimum of 5 hours per shift, with no minimum team size. We can send one bartender to an investor dinner or a team of 100+ to a major conference.
Yes. Send branded T-shirts, jackets or accessories to us or to the venue before your event. No branded apparel? We’ll match your dress code, from classic all-black to smart casual or cocktail attire.
All of our staff are W-2 employees of Julia Valler — not freelancers or independent contractors. We manage payroll and taxes.
We confirm shifts in advance and keep backup staff on call. If someone can’t make it, we send a vetted replacement — often before you notice — and your on-site team lead adjusts as needed.
Rates typically range from $37 to $55 per hour per staff member. Your final cost depends on the role, venue location, shift length, event date (weekends and holidays may cost more), how far in advance you book, and any special requirements such as language skills or extra training.
