San Diego Event Staffing FAQ
For most events, two to four weeks ahead is ideal. Large conventions, peak summer weekends, and the November–December holiday season are best booked four to six weeks out. Need staff sooner? Contact us — we regularly fill last-minute requests.
Each staff member is booked for a minimum of 5 hours per shift. There is no minimum team size, so we can send a single bartender to a client dinner or 100+ staff to a large conference.
Yes. Ship branded shirts, jackets or accessories to us or to your venue before the event. If you don’t have branded apparel, we’ll match your dress code, from classic all-black to resort-casual or cocktail attire.
Yes. Every team member is a W-2 employee of our agency — never a freelancer or independent contractor — and we handle all payroll and taxes.
Shifts are confirmed in advance, and backup staff stay on call. If someone can’t attend, we send a vetted replacement, usually before you notice, and your on-site team lead manages any changes.
Rates generally run $37–$55 per hour per staff member. The final price depends on the role, venue location, shift length, event date (weekends and holidays may cost more), booking lead time, and special requirements such as language skills or additional training.
