How far in advance should we book event staff in NYC?

Ideally 2–4 weeks before your event, or 4–6 weeks for large conferences and the peak New York holiday season (November–December). Short on time? Reach out anyway — our NYC roster often lets us cover last-minute requests.

Is there a minimum number of hours or staff members?

Each staff member is booked for at least 5 hours per shift, but there’s no minimum headcount — we can send one bartender for an intimate Manhattan client dinner or 100+ staff for a conference at the Javits Center.

Can your staff wear our branded uniforms?

Yes. Send your branded shirts, jackets or accessories to us or directly to your NYC venue ahead of the event. No uniforms? We’ll match the dress code to your event, from classic all-black to cocktail attire.

Are your staff W-2 employees or independent contractors?

Every Julia Valler team member in New York is a W-2 employee of our agency, not a freelancer or independent contractor. We take care of payroll and taxes.

What if a staff member can’t make it?

Every shift is confirmed in advance, and we keep backup staff on call throughout New York City. If someone drops out, we send a vetted replacement — usually before you even notice — and your on-site team lead manages any changes during the event.

How is corporate event staffing in NYC priced?

Most rates fall between $37 and $55 per hour per staff member. Your final price reflects the role, your NYC venue, shift length, the date (weekends and holidays may cost more), how far ahead you book, and any special requirements such as language skills or extra training. Temporary staffing

Just in time for North America’s largest art fair, Chanel opened a boutique in Miami during Art Basel 2021 and selected Julia Valler Staffing & Events as one of two strategic partners to provide 15 premium male models who served as Brand Ambassadors throughout the entire show.

From November 30th to December 21st, our models presented the latest collections, shoes, perfume, and handbags, including the iconic 11.12 collection in every seasonal interpretation. On December 1st, a day before Art Basel, Chanel staged a drone show in Miami celebrating the 100th anniversary of Chanel N°5 and the history of the house, where Julia Valler Event Staffing provided six models who took a direct part in the show.

The Polo Bar by Ralph Lauren opened in 2014, and the New York City restaurant hired its front-of-house team through Julia Valler, including hosts, servers, and bartenders. 9 Orchard Hotel
Temporary staffing

An elegant new hotel in the heart of Downtown New York opened its doors right before New York Fashion Week in September 2022, hosting corporate events and after-parties for up to 400 guests for the Chanel, Givenchy, Carolina Herrera, and Stella McCartney corporate offices.
